Novice Championship Scoring Platform
The individual Novice Driver & Navigator with the most total points at the end of the NWRC Friday Nighter Series will each win a trophy for their efforts. There will be no “Team” trophy awarded in this Championship. The depth of trophies distributed in this series will be dependent upon the number of qualified entrants….so, the more competitors…..the farther the trophy placements go.
Ties for the Novice Championship trophy places will be broken by the following process: The contestant who attended the most rallies, then the most Firsts, then most Seconds.. If a tie still remains, then the contestant with the most Thirds will be the winner. And if there is still a tie… then matching trophies for the tied positions will be awarded. In order to receive an earned trophy…recipients must be present or be represented at the finish of the last event of the year.
Here is how the scoring works:
- 1st Place… 5pts
- 2nd Place… 3pts
- 3rd Place… 2pts
- All others… 1pt
Winners of the Novice Class Championship are automatically elevated to the SOP Class.
