Sorry folks, we had a glitch with our insurance company and we will not be able to put on the rally tonight because we don’t have insurance for it. The company has assured us that we should have coverage by our May events, the first of which is Raindrop Rally on May 7.

6 cars honored us with their attendance at the September Friday Nighter. Thanks to John and Derris Humphrey for putting the event together, and Mike Daily and Dave Treen for their support on the event.

Well, it is back to school time and also time for the September Friday Night Rally, on September 9th. Our rallymaster this month is none other than the Grand Poobah himself, NWRC President John Humphrey. John has written a good many rallies over the years, and leans toward fun roads and longish rallies. A South-End dweller, John’s rallies usually go South. This one is no different and will end in Maple Valley at Ferrelli’s Pizza (https://farrellispizza.com/locations/farrellis-maple-valley-wa/). Because of our dwindliing manpower we will be using both manned and DIY Controls.
Registration for this novice-oriented event opens at 6:45 PM at the Eastgate Park & Ride Parking lot in Bellevue (14200 SE Eastgate Way). The drivers meeting is at 7:10 and first car out will be 7:31. The entry fee is $25. Come on out and join us for a good time. Bring your friends!
NO SIGNALS, NO PROBLEMS
July’s Rally Was “No Signals, No Problems” written by Jack Heppes. Jack has a long history of writing drivers events and this one was no exception. There were no traps, We had a nice long odometer check which enabled the Unlimited cars to dial in their odometers. The rust is still showing on all competitors except for the Weavers who proceeded to come out and post a total score of 8 without a computer. Well Done, Marvin and Scott. 8 cars this month as we had three novices added to the mix. They did pretty well, too. The course was entertaining and used roads that have not been used in a very long time. We also got just about as far North as is reasonably possible on a Friday Nighter. Overall, it was a great run and great fun! Thanks to Jack Heppes and Gary Coon for their work, along with Steve Roberts, Debbie Sjodin, Ardis Dull, Pat Biggar and Rick Ross. The next rally will be in September and we expect that rally to finish around Maple Valley. More details to come.
