The Season Begins!

Coming Friday, April 14th, get an introduction to the Richta GPS checkpoint system when FOOTZ presents “Appetizer” to kick off the 2023 NWRC Friday Nighter series. Rallymaster Mike Daily has put together a fun route with no traps, so teams can get acquainted with the Richta system. The rally ends in Maple Valley at Farrelli’s Pizza.

You’ll need to have the Richta “Competitor” app on your iOS or Android smartphone. Do yourself a favor and get it installed ahead of time. We put together a short guide to getting and using the Competitor app. The guide can be found in the Documents section here on our website and while you’re there, grab the April Supplemental Generals. April (and beyond) will run under rules modified to use the Richta checkpoint system.

The Friday Nighter Championship is back. The 2023 Championship will track NOV and SOP participants. 

NWRC Friday Nighters start at the Eastgate Park & Ride, 14200 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue WA 98007.

Registration is open from 6:45pm-7:15pm. The cost is $30.

Friday Nighter entry fee is $30 per car.

There will be Friday Nighter season championships for the Novice and SOP classes in 2023.

** Raindrop runs under different rules than the Friday Nighters. It will use the Richta GPS checkpoint system. See the Raindrop page for full details.

*** The 2023 Friday Nighters will be run using supplemental rules and the Richta GPS checkpoint system.

Some Friday Nighter rallies in the 2023 NWRC season will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints.

Those events using the Richta system will need to be run under a modified set of the NWRC General Instructions. The supplementary changes will define some new official terms, remove conflicting language, and add framework to support use of the Richta system. Two new documents will soon be available on this site. One is a summary listing just the additions, deletions, or adjustments to be made. The other is a complete set of NWRC General Instructions with the supplementary changes incorporated into it already.

September 2022 Friday Nighter

Well, it is back to school time and also time for the September Friday Night Rally, on September 9th. Our rallymaster this month is none other than the Grand Poobah himself, NWRC President John Humphrey. John has written a good many rallies over the years, and leans toward fun roads and longish rallies. A South-End dweller, John’s rallies usually go South. This one is no different and will end in Maple Valley at Ferrelli’s Pizza (https://farrellispizza.com/locations/farrellis-maple-valley-wa/). Because of our dwindliing manpower we will be using both manned and DIY Controls.

Registration for this novice-oriented event opens at 6:45 PM at the Eastgate Park & Ride Parking lot in Bellevue (14200 SE Eastgate Way). The drivers meeting is at 7:10 and first car out will be 7:31. The entry fee is $25. Come on out and join us for a good time. Bring your friends!
