Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone for turning out.

October 2019 Friday Nighter Results

October 19, 2019 By Kelly Smith Leave a Comment

With Rod Johnson’s Course and excellent work by Rallymaster Charles Aggenbach, the October Friday Nighter was a resounding success. 14 cars ventured out, and only the novice team failed to return. They called to say they were OK, but going home. That saved us from having to go out there to look for them. There was a tie in Unlimited for first. Both cars got identical scores for the whole rally. None of the tiebreakers could break the tie. John Horn and Joe Meyer had trouble on the first leg, but then recovered to post a score of 21 for the rally, using their GPS operated rally computer. It is probably only a matter of time before they win with that thing. Debbie Sjodin and Ardis Dull won the Masters Class, while Jordan Keffer and Derek Ihler wrapped up their 2nd Championship by winning the SOP Class.
Congratulations to the winners and condolences to the non-winners. We hope to start this whole thing up in the Spring, so stay tuned. Would should have an announcement out in February or March. Thank you all for coming!

September 2019 Friday Nighter Results

September 22, 2019 By Kelly Smith Leave a Comment

Well, the roads were fun, the traps were challenging and a bunch of us had a good time. Everyone had at least a tough leg or two. The novices got whacked pretty hard. Sorry about that folks. That was certainly not our intent. Thanks to Debbie Sjodin for writing the rally, Steve Roberts and Don Gibson for their work in course development and working the rally. Thanks to the other workers, Ardis Dull, Jack Heppes, Gary Coon, Rick Ross, Kathy Sacry and Dave Sacry. Next month will be the final rally of the year, and we will award the Season Championship Trophies.

July 2019 Friday Nighter Results

July 13, 2019 By Kelly Smith Leave a Comment

FOOTZ and PSRC combined forces for this entertaining and challenging rally. The course stayed between May Valley and Summit Landsburg, ultimately Finishing in Maple Valley. A few competitors suffered a bit of a meltdown on the rally, with several teams scoring maximum leg penalties (300). One of the SOP cars wrote “Tilt, Tilt, Tilt” on their scorecard.
The hard traps of the rally involved recognizing that school bus stop ahead graphics had red octagons on them and two walking people that satisfied the CROSS note. To complicate matters, there was an instruction that tried to use the signs used by the note, which were not executable because the note took precedence for use of the sign. That is definitely in the advanced course. All in all, the burns were relatively light, so failure to catch all the nuances was not too painful for most. The off-course excursions were another matter, but mostly self inflicted. The hardest traps for a rallymaster to control are the ones that competitors invent for themselves. We try really hard to keep that from happening. Thanks to the workers who helped make this possible: Mike Daily for putting the course together, Charles Agenbach for running pace with Mike; Mike Workman, Scott Margerum and Jeff Delong for working checkpoint 1 and 4; Dave Treen and Kelly Smith for working Checkpoint 2 and 3; and Vasco DePinna and Kevin Mullins who ran sweep. Most of these folks also ran the checkout, as did Ryan McLean, which is an important part of organizing a rally.
Thank you all for attending. It was gratifying to see so many folks enjoying one of our rallies. Don’t forget, we are running a bring a new rally team, get free entry promotion. Bring your friends and run for free! We are taking August off, so the next rally is September 13th, with ORCA putting on the rally. More details to follow on that. See you in September!
