Another fine event by PSRC and FOOTZ, with Rallymaster Mike Daily organizing a entertaining course up around Fall City and Snoqualmie. Thanks to the Mike for doing all that work. Also thanks to the workers, Vasco DePinna, Kevin Mullins and Mike Workman who ran the checkout and had various duties the night of the event. A special thanks to Dave Treen who worked a checkpoint on the event, did scoring, came up with the awesome artwork above and made the trophies and dashplaques. Without workers, these things would never happen!
September Friday Nighter, 9/9/16
Am I the only one whose whole week is messed up by the holiday? Probably not, but in any case, the September Friday Nighter is this Friday, as in the Day after Tomorrow! (posted 9/7). This months rally is the creation of a fabulous rallymaster, Mike Daily. Mike has invited his old friend, Tatty, the Phantom Bantam to join us once again. Tatty quickly accepted, but has promised not to wreak so much havoc on all of you this time. Mike measured the rally with the rally computer he created, Tabacus. (See Mike if you are in the market for a rally computer. Better than Timewise and Alfa, so I am told.) We checked out the rally the week before the holiday, and the course was really fun! The rally is about 2 hours long and will end at Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria in Issaquah.
Registration for this novice oriented event opens at 6:45 PM at the Eastgate Park & Ride Parking lot in Bellevue (14200 SE Eastgate Way). The drivers meeting is at 7:10 and first car out will be 7:31. The entry fee is $20. The “bring a new team and your entry is free” special continues, so invite some friends and enjoy free entry.
Come on out and join us, and bring your friends!
AUGUST 2016 FRIDAY NIGHTER RESULTS
August Friday Nighter, August 12th.
Well, Seafair weekend was sort of a bust weatherwise, but we made up for it by checking out and measuring the August Friday Nighter. The route is superb, winding it’s way from Bellevue to Auburn. Speeds are brisk, with quite a few 45 mph roads. The rallymaster, John Humphrey, brought us something else that we haven’t seen for a while….Traps. Nothing too difficult, just a reintroduction to looking for multiple things at the same time. Penalties are small, so getting the traps wrong won’t hurt too much. The rally finishes at Athens Pizza in Auburn.
