June Friday Nighter, June 10
We had a nice weekend, starting with the checkout of the June Friday Nighter, while many of our crew headed for Kennewick for the start of No Alibi. The checkout went well, and the course is really fun. Following the lead of other rallymasters this year, we kept the rally trap free, so it is an easy run with time keeping being the major task at hand. Drivers will have a good time. Navigators have been spared the task of counting telephone poles.
Registration for this novice oriented event opens at 6:45 PM at the Eastgate Park & Ride Parking lot in Bellevue (14200 SE Eastgate Way). The drivers meeting is at 7:10 and first car out will be 7:31. The entry fee is $20. The “bring a new team and your entry is free” special continues, so invite some friends and enjoy free entry. The rally runs North, and ends at Brava Pizza and Pasta, 120 Glen Ave in Snohomish.
Come on out and join us, and bring your friends!
May Friday Nighter Results
The May Friday Nighter was an interesting rally presented by Don Gibson of ORCA. After a 45 minute odo check to Monroe, we took Ben Howard Road out to Sultan, went a little farther east, then used Old Pipeline Road to get back to civilization. Fun roads and a fun event. Special thanks to ORCA members Pat Biggar, Rick Ross, Dave and Kathy Sacry, Jack Heppes, Gary Coon, Ben Thompson Eric Hobbs, and Steve Roberts for working the event.
May Friday Nighter, May 13th
It’s Mothers Day, and I’m a little late making this post. Obviously there is stuff going on. It’s Monte Carlo season at NWRC. We just had a very successful Raindrop Rally presented by Rainier Auto Sports Club. The next Friday Nighter, on May 13th, will be a Monte Carlo/Friday Nighter hybrid. There will be no traps. The instructions will be in Monte Carlo style, while we will still have controls to stop at, and a fresh start each leg. The rallymaster for this event is Don Gibson. Don wrote a similar event last year, and it was a blast! This one should be too. Come on out and join us for a fun time!

Three weekends after the Friday Nighter, on June 4th and 5th, Rainier Auto Sports Club will present “No Alibi”, a two day gravel and pavement Monte Carlo style rally. The rally starts and overnights in Kennewick, with the finish in Prosser. Registration and details are available at the RASC Website: http://www.rainierautosports.com/events/2016/noalibi/default.htm. This rally is always good fun and well worth the $175 entry fee.
We hope to see you all out there, at both events!
