The Raindrop Rally is this coming Sunday, May 7th.  Weather is predicted to be good, but this is Spring in the Northwest.    This rally is always fun and they are running around Chehalis to avoid traffic.  Come on out and have a good time. April Friday Nighter, April 14th

April 9, 2017 By Kelly Smith 3 Comments

Well, the long off-season is coming to a close as we kick of the 2017 rally season with the April Friday Nighter.  As you all know, the weather has been extremely wet, and it has wreaked havoc on some of our favorite rally roads.  John Humphrey is the rallymaster this month, and he selected are really cool course, only to have some of the roads close.  So he altered the course, only to have some more roads close.  He altered it once again, and we checked the rally out Friday night.  The course is really fun and has a couple of easy traps just to make things interesting.  The rally is about two hours long and finishes at Ferrelli’s Pizza in Maple Valley.  Http://farrellispizza.com/locations/farrellis-maple-valley-wa/.  It will be a fun run!

Registration for this novice oriented event opens at 6:45 PM at the Eastgate Park & Ride Parking lot in Bellevue (14200 SE Eastgate Way). The drivers meeting is at 7:10 and first car out will be 7:31. The entry fee is $20. The “bring a new team and your entry is free” special continues, so invite some friends and enjoy free entry.

Come on out and join us, and bring your friends!

The 2017 Schedule is out!  Click on “Events” and “2017 Schedule”.  We’re starting in April this year and running through October.  No Alibi is on hiatus this year, as Rainier Auto Sports Club concentrates their effort on the 50th Anniversary of Nor’wester, scheduled for September 15-17.  Also scheduled to return this fall is Night On Bald Mountain, ORCA’s Fly-by Nighter.

All in all it should be a fun season.  We hope to see you out there!

October 2016 Friday Nighter, 10/14/2016

October 9, 2016 By Kelly Smith Leave a Comment

This Friday, October 14th is the last rally of the season, the October Friday Nighter, the Ghouls and Goblins Rally, presented by Rainier Auto Sports Club.  RASC has selected a seasoned rallymaster, Rod Johnson.  Rod likes twisty roads, and easy courses, and this one is one that he would like.   Pressed for details, Rod said of the rally:   “It is a simple Friday Nighter, designed to get nobody lost.  All paved roads, and no speeds over 50 MPH are required.  You should not be expected to drive through a pumpkin patch, or look for ghosts; except ones you may have in your closets.”  The rally will be about 2.5 hours long and will finish at Farrelli’s Pizza in Maple Valley.  Http://farrellispizza.com/locations/farrellis-maple-valley-wa/

The SOP and Novice Championship trophies will be awarded at the finish of this rally.

Sounds like fun to me!
